New for 2024: Silencer Central Banish Speed K Suppressor

Do you really need all that extra length to reduce sound? Nope … for 2024, Silencer Central’s going short.

In recent years, Silencer Central has revolutionized the process of buying a new suppressor. This year, the company’s revolutionizing something different: the size and construction of the ideal suppressor. New for 2024 is the Silencer Central BANISH Speed K, the chunky little can that could. There are several things about the BANISH Speed K that are new and different from “the usual” suppressor.

First, this 5.56 NATO/.223 Rem.-specific suppressor was created in collaboration with Federal Ammunition. That only makes sense, given how important is the interface between the silencer and the exiting projectile. Secondly, rather than titanium, this suppressor is crafted from Inconel. Inconel is a blend of nickel, chromium and iron for tremendous heat resistance. Another innovation is the fact that it threads directly to the muzzle, and isn’t user-serviceable … which means you don’t need to clean it!

What’s great about this short can is that, while it only adds around 3.5 inches to the overall length of your carbine or large-format pistol, it offers the same sound reduction as a longer, slimmer can. That makes life a lot easier for those who are trying to use their carbines to, for example, clear a room. To achieve significant sound reduction the Banish K is a full 2″ in diameter, which is a good deal thicker than a typical suppressor. It is also a bit heavier than it looks at 14.1 ounces, owing to its girth and Inconel construction. However, the payoff comes in the form a suppressor which gives you minimal point of impact shift and terrific sound suppression.
