Based on its sought-after BX-4 10×42 mm roof prism binocularLeupold remains relentless at providing hunters and shooters with top-quality solutions, and for 2023, the American firm offers its BX-4 Range HD TBR/W 10×42 mm ranging system. Packed with features, the all-new BX-4 Range HD is a must-have for any hunter, professional guide, sport shooter or wildlife-viewing enthusiast.

“Hunters and shooters have been asking us to develop a rangefinding binocular for years,” said Tim Lesser, vice president of product development and marketing for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “We weren’t going to come to market until we had the product that Leupold consumers both demand and require. The BX-4 Range HD is that product. Its rangefinding solution and optical performance are the best in its class, hands down.”

Weighing in at 38 ozs., the BX-4 Range HD combines a Digitally eNhanced Accuracy (DNA) laser engine with Leupold’s True Ballistic Range/Wind (TBR/W) computations to provide highly accurate range readings, at any angle, within 1’ of perfection at 1,000 yards, and allows ultra-clear viewing at distance, in all weather and lighting conditions. TBR/W offers 25 ballistic groups to select from for myriad rifle applications and the computing software installed accounts for 10-m.p.h. wind in each group, at any distance. The BX-4 Range HD ranges reflective targets at 2,600 yards, trees at 1,600 yards and deer-size game at 1,100 yards.

The use of Leupold’s Elite Optical System with extra-low dispersion glass gives users a clear and sharp image without color fringing or bleeding—a quality all shooters should require when deciphering a target—enabling long, easy-on-the-eyes viewing. The optics are fully coated for improved light transmission and glare reduction and enhanced with Guard-ion, a specialized coating to shrug away contaminants, such as dirt and water.

The internal readout of the BX-4 Range HD is provided by a high-contrast, red organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display for 24-hour use and is powered by a single CR2 battery. The unit features left- and right-side programmable buttons and has provision for tripod mounting thanks to its 1/4-20 TPI threaded insert. Leupold includes a harness, lens covers and a lens cloth. Suggested retail for the BX-4 Range HD is $1,600. For more information, visit leupold.com.
