The CMMG Dissent: A Compact Powerhouse

In a nutshell, CMMG offered the following details about the new Dissent AR15 Pistol:

Outfitted with CMMG ZEROED parts and accessories and donning AR15 modularity, the CMMG DISSENT boasts superior firepower in a small familiar package and will initially be offered in three different calibers with .300BLK and 5.56x45mm utilizing a Direct Impingement operating system, while the 5.7x28mm version utilizes CMMG’s patented Radial Delayed Blowback operating system. Both .300BLK and 5.56x45mm will accept and ship with their respective 30-round Magpul PMAGS and the 5.7x28mm will accept and ship with the 32-round CMMG 5.7x28mm Gen II Conversion Magazine.

This is the new version of the most powerful pistol on the market. It features the manufacturer’s patent-pending Compact Action, which eliminates the receiver extension and buffer assembly.

This is a unique way of operating the rifle action. It has two rods that are controlled by springs to move the action so it cycles smoothly. The gun is compatible with CMMG’s patented Radial delayed blowback operating system and Direct Impingement system. CMMG Dissent Features

• The Dissent comes with 2 magazines. The 300 BlackOut and 5.56 NATO versions ship with 30-round Magpul PMAGs. The 5.7x28mm will come with 32-round CMMG Gen II Conversion Magazines.
• This 5.56x45mm NATO rifle boasts an extremely lightweight trigger pull, making it easy to shoot long periods of time without getting tired of holding the rifle.
• Triggertech AR-D 2 Stage Trigger, developed in collaboration with CMMG and optimized for use with DISSENT firearms and upper receiver groups, is a high-quality two-stage trigger.
• AR-15 Modularity — combine CMMG’s DISSENT upper with any mil-spec compatible AR-15 lower when using the supplied rail adapter.
• A picatinny rail end plate offers further customization.
• The forward non-reciprocating side charging handle allows for an available left-hand model.
